In this pocket-sized book, George Wingfield, a local historian, unravels some of the mysteries of this ancient spiritual centre, telling its story from pre-history to the present day, including legends and some of  the astronomy and geometry of this sacred landscape.  It's full of rare old engravings, a timeline, and possibly best of all, gives a number of walks, with maps, in and around Glastonbury.
