Winter Solstice Offerings

An exclusive and enchanting selection of offerings to celebrate the Winter Solstice, the shortest day of the year.
Offer them to honour the death of the Holly King and the reign of the Oak King, the Sun's rebirth and the Great Mother who gives birth to him.
Do so at dawn to welcome the Sun and at dusk to give thanks for the turning of the wheel.

These Winter Solstice offerings are handcrafted air dried clay shapes encapsulating wild flowers seeds.

Hang them in trees and on bushes or place the offerings at sacred sites, holy wells, stone circles, your garden, by streams and rivers, in woods, forests and wild places.
The elements will wear away at the clay enabling the wild flower seeds to germinate and the tiny crystals will return to their Mother Earth with your wishes and intentions.

1 x Tree to celebrate the Evergreen and the cycle of life.
1 x Ivy Leaf, symbol of immortality and resurrection which grows in a spiral reminding us of reincarnation and rebirth,
1 x Sun to honour the Sun Child.

All are strung with green ribbon and decorated with spirals.
The offerings are nestling in Rose petals a promise of the Summer to come.
Instructions included with offering prayer and details of the wild flower seeds used.

The flower seeds within each offering are a mixture of Birdsfoot Trefoil, Black Knapweed, Common Sorrel, Cowslip, Field Scabious, Hoary Plantain, Lady’s Bedstraw, Selfheal, Yellow Rattle, Poppy, Ox Eye Daisy, Meadow Buttercup, Ribwort Plantain, Wild Carrot, Yarrow, Crested Dogstail, Common Bent and Smaller Cat’s Tail.
