Delivery and Postage Costs
Postage and packing charges are automatically calculated by our shopping cart and vary according to which country you are ordering from. Orders are normally dispatched from our store within five working days, unless there is a delay. If an item is out of stock and there is going to be a delay, we will contact you by email and offer you a revised delivery date.
UK. All orders up to 2.00 kg in weight are despatched through the Royal Mail Tracked service, which is not the cheapest option but secures peace of mind for you and for us! Above 2.00 kilos in weight we choose the best option from a number of carriers, always using a Tracked service.
In the UK, postage and packing is worked out by the weight of your order. It is always difficult to set these prices, especially for small businesses. In the UK we now have set a flat rate of £4.99 for postage and packing for all orders up to 2 kilos. Beyond that the flat rate is £9.95. We review these charges continually.
Europe. We are delighted that we are now open to receive and send orders to all our lovely EU customers. Hooray. We missed you!

HOWEVER ! Orders to the EU do NOT include local customs and import charges. All orders sent out are conditional on your acceptance of any charges. These are outside of our control. All UK taxes are paid by us before your parcel leaves our jurisdiction. Once your order is despatched we have no control over, and we are not responsible for, any national tariffs, import duties or local taxes.
For orders to the USA, and beyond, the cost is also worked out according to the weight of your order. Beyond 2 kilos we choose the best option from a number of carriers depending on the destination.
Back Orders. If your item is not in stock, we will back order it for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait. Outstanding orders can be cancelled at any time. We are keen to work with artisan makers who are not wedded to instant fulfilment and this can cause delays.
We are a small independent business and proud of what we do. We simply are not Amazon and we cannot pretend to deliver the speed of service and low costs that larger concerns can achieve!
