Window Sticker - Celtic Green Man

Window Sticker - Celtic Green Man

Text on back of packaging:

Look carefully in many ancient churches, all over England and carved in stone it is possible you may see the head of a man mysteriously emerging from the foliage which sprouts from his mouth and covers his face.
The masons of medieval times paid homage to Gods and powers other than those to whom the churches were dedicated. These foliate heads were given the name ‘Green Man’ by folklorists as recently as the 1940’s.
The Green Man depicted on this sticker is made of the foliage of oak and ash and hawthorn; the tree to ‘conjure summer in’ from Kipling’s magical poem. Surrounding him is a Celtic pattern from the Book of Kells, called ‘Tree if Life’.
