The Pentagram or Pentacle symbolizes the human microcosm and can be seen to represent the human body, standing with outstretched arms and legs. It is endless, drawn from a single inter-weaving line representing infinity, and is bounded by a circle, the symbol of unity and the whole. The Pentacle also represents the five elements of earth, air, fire and water plus spirit. It is often used as a symbol for Pagan religions which revere nature and the never ending cycles of life and the seasons.
